Getting to Know You...San Antonio!

We spent the weekend in San Antonio looking for houses, and getting to know the city that will be our home for the next couple years. It was my first time to Texas and I must say, it was different than I expected! I couldnt believe all the flourescent signs and bilboards...I heard it described best as "a never ending strip mall!" On the bright side...how convenient it will be to get, well anything! Any store I need at my fingertips! The bad news is that we found the perfect home in the perfect location, and after a lot of negotiation we came to agreement...and then we found out that it has a 30,000 dollar foundation problem! So, it looks like we may still be on the hunt!

This friendly lizard was one of the multiple lizards we saw!

I liked the riverwalk! I can foresee many date nights down there with my husband, and no kids!

This is a stage on the riverwalk...we saw the Alamo too, but didnt stop for a picture.

I didn't know that you knew where you were headed! Good old Texas! James and I are looking into either San Antonio or Hawaii. Wouldn't it be crazy if we ended up in the same place again....I swear we are not following you. :)

Congrats on your soon-to-be move! I am sure you will find a lovely house without that little (ha!) foundation flaw. The riverwalk looks absolutely gorgeous, I bet you are excited to be moving there!

San Antonio looks like such a fun place. Can I come and visit? I've always wanted to go there. So, now I have the most perfect excuse - to come and see Ellie's boyfriend and Jake's girlfriend!

That's a bummer- won't they knock that off the price? You probably really just don't want to deal with it though, right? I wish you were here to sell my house! We just barely put it up- we'll see how it goes. When is the big move?

We will be in San Antonio in May, we just love visiting there!

I know you will love Texas, nothing beats the "Sweet South". People down here are SO friendly!

We will have to plan with Ashley and all come together. My kids just love Sea World and Phil and I could spend every night on the RIver Walk. We have a favorite hotel that we always stay at too. Just wait til the Thanksgiving "parade" that goes through the river. I am getting so jealous just thinking about it all!!

When will the actual move take place? Did you say that in your post? I am going to email Ash now to tell her we will be taking a family trip all together!
